Re-assembling this 70 that I did not take apart, so no pictures, sketches or notes to go by. I have early roadster, but this is my first late one, and the 70 seems to have lots of quirks. I know there should be a bracket that snugs the steering column up under the dash. I have the column attached to the steering box and attached at the firewall (installed a brake firewall brace) but of course it is hanging down. I see an attachment bracket above with holes, and even have a plastic sleeve that looks like would protect the column, but my parts boxes have no attachment bracket that I can find. Anyone have a picture of how the column attaches under the dash? I may have to fabricate a connection unless the picture makes a light bulb go off about "what is this piece all about" in the bottom of some box.
BAT is a great source to look at pictures for lots of things I am reassembling, but since this part is covered up by the bottom dash cover it is hidden. Thanks for any clues.

The bracket is probably exactly what you are thinking it should be, it's a U shaped piece with flanges on the sides that fits over the rubber sleeve and attaches to the upper bracket that has the holes in it. There are also two little plates that go on top of the upper bracket that just have two threaded holes in them to run the bolts up through both brackets (instead of nuts).
