'69 teardrop sidelights interchange

Fedtro was a Japanese producer of auto accessories in the 1960s, and hired Mickey Mantle to endorse their products (bonus points if you recall which company sold numerous products endorsed by Ted Williams). These turn signal flashers predate and are a near ringer for the â69 teardrop sidelights, with the same dimensions, and will cover the factory cutout in the â69 fenders. The individual components (lens, gasket, base) are not interchangeable, only the assemblies. They require only two screws to mount and a single hole for the hot wire (a fender washer mounted inside the fender will secure the front mount if you already have the factory cutout).
Too bright as is to use as running lights, but some forum members have converted their EW sidelights to work with their turn signals â these require no mods to serve that function.
When you find them, expect to pay about fifty bucks for a nos pair with shiny chrome, new gasket and new electrics.
