As of now the 70 roadster has the vg30(84 300zx) and trans mounted. With very little cutting. Next steps is hooking the computer and harness to the engine and a few odds and ends.
The 68 has been getting the love lately. Found a couple sticks crammed in the valves—probably aided in the rough running haha! Believe it or not—the r16 was still running with those sticks in there, much better without them tho lol!
Ordered new monotube shocks and lowering springs
Real excited for that!
Get the stance right, some aggressive flares, clear coat and the 68 is ready to rock!

Attempting to keep this one pretty factory
Up to this point there has been a lotta love put to getting the engine running, carbs operating right; still have to get the carbs balanced after reading on the forum for a while seems we might be a bit rich

Got the rear shocks on the 68
Fronts tomorrow
Also put on a new shift knobto match the wheel and badge and a valve cover cap to match as well
Also installed a new rubber boot and vinyl cover, unfortunately … being a 68 … some cutting was required :,(
68 needs
-Front suspension swapped
-Carbs adjusted
-Gas tank patched or replaced (hoping one of the other two I have work
)
Interior pieces (thinking of making something)
Rubber, rubber, rubber
Then it is ready to rock, though I definitely don’t mind taking it for a few spins missing interior panels and rubber
After it is moving and stopping properly on its own
Have a 68 2000 to disassemble
—has engine and trans parts will be made available
Hoping disassembly is an afternoon or weekend only
Then
Finishing up the vg30 swap and getting it goin

Got the rest of the suspension on today.
KYB Monotube Gas-A-Just and Vogtland lowering springs
One of the mounts for the sway bar was a little wacky, had to heat it up and get it back correct.
Still to go is,
• The gas tank situation
• The exhaust and intake gasket replacement
• Getting the carbs set correctly
Had one of the members donate a filler neck and gas cap to me, came in today! The red roadster will have something it has been missing for a while!
Gotta say just another example of the roadster community being the best there is out there!
