Hey guys. Bouncing around selling the 68 to possibly make room for another project but we'll see. I bought this car in late 2014 off of the original owner, and have some of his original paperwork. He couldn't get in and out of the car anymore so he sold it to me when we bought his house! This car had 1 repaint back in 94. I did have the head refurbished so all the gaskets in that area have been replaced. Cleaned the carbs out good, changed the needles. Pulled the smog off and changed out the springs and weights in the distributor to give it some timing. Interior redone including dash and console cover. Brake lines all replaced, new shoes in the rear. New clutch master and slave...and the list goes on. What's she worth?

I suggest you go to BAT.com and do a search for Datsun 1600 and compare your car with the results. That should give you a pretty good idea of the market.

I bought all of the upholstery from Dean including a dash and console cover.

Been lurking on Bat several times over the years. Not sure if I would list on it though. Is it just me or does everything seem ridiculously high on Bat relative to CL or FB Marketplace?

Doesn't "ridiculously high" work in your favor in this instance? The process to list on Bat is a bit more complicated but puts the car in front of a lot more potential buyers. And they are bidding against each other, which can, and has, created a bidding frenzy that can elevate the price above the price a buyer might normally pay as ego becomes a factor. Bat is a very entertaining platform at times. If you do decide to sell, I would recommend doing it soon. Convertibles are a much easier sell in good weather.

No one uses CL in Midwest...too many scammers , robbers too. I've had seller want a scan of driver license with only street address covered sent before they would meet on a car

I've purchased 3 cars on BAT, including SPL311-00054. Likely worth the effort.
