I currently have a stainless aftermarket tank installed, so no working fuel gauge. Ken Laroe helped me with a donor 1600 tank, sans 5 bolt sending unit, which was easy enough replace. The donor tank is now being cleaned, sealed, and primed. Few questions.

1 Should it be finished in black, or match the Sora Blue paint job?

2. The donor tank has the overflow pipe on top. I don't think my early 1600 uses this. What's the best way to cap it?

Should be black. I think you could cap the return with a fuel resistant rubber cap?

Don't block the vent on the top of the tank, it connects to the filler neck

What size/style screws are used to attach the original sending unit with 5 screws?

The finishing touch! Coated the outside of the tank with truck bed liner.
