2024 40th Mt Shasta Datsun Roadster Meet is June 20-22. Join us.
The route was planned to stay on the east side of the Cascades and enjoy some favorite back roads.
June 21. Wednesday. Seattle to Redmond Oregon. 446 miles.
Drove directly to Mabton, SE of Yakima, to access the roads of the Horse Haven Hills.
3 Great roads thru high prairie, vineyards and wind turbines provide access to the Columbia River, Back to
the hills at Bickleton and return to the Columbia. Cross the Columbia at Biggs Junction and Hwy 97 to Redmond.
June 22. Thursday. Redmond to Mt Shasta. 281 miles.
Drove the Cascade Lakes Scenic Hwy from Bend. 100 miles loop with great views of Mt Bachelor and The Sisters Mts.
Planned tour thru Crater Lake NP was cancelled as the North entrance was still closed due to snow.
Arrived in Mt Shasta in the mid afternoon with time to check the route for the Friday Drive.
Thursday Night Ice Cream Social with a "bar" roadster. Free drinks on the trunk.
June 23. Friday.
23 roadsters a Z and a B210 participated in the short Friday Drive to the McCloud Falls. Weather was great.
Other events were the Picnic in the Park during the Paul's Coast and the welcome reception in the evening.
June 24. Saturday. 149 miles while at Mt Shasta.
29 roadsters , a Z and a B210 attended the show on the main street of Mt Shasta.
The Carb Tuning clinic from Keith Williams and the swap meet were on Saturday afternoon.
The Awards Banquet and Raffle in the evening was a great end to another fine Mt Shasta Datsun Roadster Meet.
June 25. Sunday. Mt Shasta to Redmond Oregon. 341 miles.
Made a scenic return to Redmond on the West side of Kalmath Lake and a loop west around Crater Lake NP.
Then the Cascades Lake Scenic Hwy from the south to Redmond.
June 25 Monday. Redmond Oregon to Seattle. 519 miles.
North and East on great empty fast North Central Oregon roads to
Antelope, Fossil, Condon, and Biggs Junction on the Columbia River.
More back roads West, North and East along the Washington side of the Columbia River to Klickitat, Goldendale,
along the Columbia and again into the Horse Haven Hills at Bickleton
and return to Mabton for a fast Freeway route home following the scenic Yakima River Canyon route.
