Hi, I am looking at maybe having some parts shipped..

To get a valid quote I need to figure out the approximate weight of:

1600 or 2000 Block (150?)
crank/pistons outside of block (40-50?)
5 speed transmission (100?)
Hood. 40-50?

Was guessing like 3-400 lbs total?

Thanks.

I just weighed my blood and it is 30 lbs.
Andy Cost (Texas autocrosser) used to say, “body weighs 400, frame weighs 400, driveline weighs 400”.
Hmm, with no rear end, I am guessing your eng+trans is like 280-300, maybe?

Five speeds weigh right around 75 pounds.

Sure! I am surprised by the 75 #'s for a 5 speed, as I know I was very surprised at how light it was because of its aluminum case.

Note: I have a weight comparison spreadsheet from long ago when Eric (302 V8 roadster, now in Oz) and I (bone stock 2L) went to the trucking scale.
The302 only added 100#'s to the front wheels, but the Ford 8.8 rear end added 140 #'s to the rear wheels. (because of its thick steel walls and larger pumpkin, I think)
