Hi All,

Hoping to find some long male hook twistie for my 68 dash. The problem is my car has a dash cover and the standard teisties I used on the rest of the car are not long enough to go through the old dash and the dash cover.

I'm using them to hold down the front of my full tonneau cover.

I have a cap on my dash, and can get my tonneau cover on. It is tight, but doable. Try again, I don't think they made different lengths. Pat

I might be confused ( my usual state of mind), but I’m pretty sure one of the twisties for the boot on my rear panel was longer than the others. There is a possibility that it may have been replaced before I got the car however.

Here are ones I bought from Nissan a few years back. There was a black one that was sold for the dash but it does not to seem to be longer than either the 4mm or 8mm. A search shows the A number twists to be the same as the ones still being sold.

If you cant get the OEM to work due to length you might check aftermarket. Marine Twistie Hardware might come in longer lengths, difference being you will probably be dealing with speed nuts to secure them. They are referred to as "turnbuttons" in the Marine industry.
