I just wanted to give Dean at Datsunparts.com and Vanessa at Distinctive Industries a public thank you for standing behind their products and providing excellent customer service. Thanks Dean and Vanessa!
I have been working on restoring my headrests and purchased a reupholstery kit from Dean at Datsun Parts.
When I opened the package, the back plate pieces had been folded and noticeably creased. I tried my best to iron them out and squish them between heavy books, but nothing worked.
I sent Dean an email on Tuesday afternoon, and he immediately reached out to Vanessa at Distinctive Industries and she replied quickly and shipped out replacement material shortly after. I just got the package today, in time to get them done (hopefully) this weekend!
We're very lucky to have a bunch of great vendors like Dean, Lynn & Jim, Brian, Stan, Mike, etc. and I like to show gratitude as deserved.

Yes, Dean is a great guy. He would be even greater if He put 65 carpet kits on sale(hint hint). Pat

Re: Excellent Customer Service
Such a tired criticism.
I think Dean would be the first to admit that he thinks he's very good...
If he was cocky and didn't deliver, that would be one thing, but he consistently backs it up – as in this instance – and in the past.
I think that warrants credit.
Actions speak louder than personality differences, especially in niche little markets like ours.
I support and appreciate ALL of our vendors simply because of their commitment to providing unique and critical small-market products.
That's my penny.
