Hi everyone!
I'm Chris from Western Australia.
Allways been a Datsun fanatic racing and rallying Datsuns more than a few years ago.
I spent the last 7 years restoring a Datsun 260c coupe where due to the rarity there was very little opportunity to find parts (especially NOS)
I had to graft and fabricate parts from other car brands to make things work.
The resto bug bit and I purchased a 1970 1600 roadster recently but contrary to the 7 year resto I hope to finish this project before the end of the year,
Loving the information on this forum.
Cheers Chris

Welcome. Love all our Aussie friends. Have friends in Muddgie on the east coast . This is the place to look for/ask about these wonderful cars.

Hey Chris, glad you joined us. That must be your Datsun 260cc coupe as your avatar. Looks pretty sweet. Enjoy.

Welcome Chris. You or someone else posted a pic of the 260 and that sent me to the Internet seeking more info... very cool cars that I'd never seen before... fun! I love that our family is world wide. Enjoy the ride!

Welcome to the Roadster world Chris. Much blood and sweat lovingly sacrificed on these gems. Growing up in a 'right-hand drive ' world in the Carribean and under the Union Jack, when Japanese vehicles eventually replaced and out-paced UK rides, Datsuns (Dattos) (B-210s, Cherrys, notchback 1200s, 510s, 120Ys, and others were abundant) which included 260C, and Cedric models. The 'B- pillared ' 4-door 260c models were also employed as taxi cabs! But, a 'no-post' Coupe as yours was 'chicken's teeth'.
Also, in my toy box is a 1968 Dageham-manufactured, 1.6L Kent equipped MK II Cortina.
Regards,
David.

Ok
The 260C coupe was quite rare in Australia to start with..even less now I guess.
I don't believe any would have made their was to the US but you never know.
Anyway here are some pics for those who asked
