Interior replacement question

Post by nismou20 »

Just getting around to installing the rear wheel hump with Precut pieces. For those that have done this do you attach the foam padding to vinyl with contact cement first? Then put vinyl in place?

That's how I did it. Second step, test fit it very carefully and mark where you want to place the vinyl and foam assembly. Once you're satisfied, apply your contact cement to the wheel well and the foam and let it tack up just a little. It's probably best to start at the "center" and carefully smooth it out to the outside edges. A hair dryer will help smooth out any wrinkles, if necessary.

Also, I think I had to slightly notch one area where it glues to the package tray to make it fit properly. I was pretty happy with the way mine turned out.

I hope that helps.
