60 Years for the Roadster !

I just did a quick topic search on here
to see if I've missed any kind of celebration
of 60 years since the SP(L) went on the market.
Nothing seen!
I've been a member on here for quite a few years now, and greatly appreciate the time and expense the website sponsor devotes to the visibility of our favorite two-seater convertible. I also spend time on the Facebook page dedicated to the Roadster, where I posted this nostalgic look back. Cross-posting here.
60 YEARS !!
Commemorating the two-seat convertible
Sometime this summer I realized we have not organized any kind of commemoration to mark the 1962 beginning of sales worldwide for the roadster body style we all know and love.
I was reminded of the magic 60 year number when someone on here more recently posted a topic of whether the MGB preceded the SP(L). The appearance (and photos) of an SP310 at the 1961 Tokyo Auto Show (October 1961) settles that question, since the MGB had not yet been unveiled. (September 1962)
Ten years ago, someone on the 311s dot org website offered to create this grill badge marking 50 years. Of course I had to have one. Never put it on the grill, actually, but it's right here with my collection of stuff that's been accumulating since my first ownership in 1975.
As 2022 comes to a close, please consider doing what you can to publicly celebrate this cool little sports car. My contribution is not only to write about it, on here and other car sites, but also to get the car out for an excursion, and to "cars & coffee" shows around the Maryland region.
That does more than anything to show people these cars are around, lovingly appreciated by their owners, and acknowledged by the bystanders who may never have seen one. You've seen how auction and sales prices are climbing ....
Best wishes & happy driving.
