Just Dashes price hike

Anyone who is thinking about using Just Dashes to refinish their dash/console etc...the prices are going up significantly after the first of the year. Current quote I got for a Dash and Console is $2750, good until Dec 31st. After Jan 1st it goes up to $4000. Just a heads up.

I have known Irwin the owner for 30 years. He has a warehouse full of at least 50 classic fully restored cars and we all are paying for them LOL

Well, hopefully Irwin is also paying his people decently. And he has cornered the market on this kind of restoration work. It’s what any business owner strives to do. It’s definitely hard to swallow when many roadster owners probably paid less for their whole car than the cost of refinishing a dash but I know I want my car to be enjoyed and admired long into the future. I’ll be biting the bullet on this before this hefty price tag truly becomes unaffordable for me.

At some point he will price his product so high that it will invite competition and pricing will fall. Apparently it hasn’t reached that point yet

Good luck! Irwin once told me that he had a standing contract with Monsanto, they make the thin vacuum form vinyl. He said everything that came off production would only go to him. So much for the competition.
We finally broke when I was standing in his shop and asked him if he offered any of his Hispanic employees health insurance. After that I was not welcome.
Well he did build a basketball court in his parking lot for them to play during their 1/2 hour break. Hey the court is still there in the left hand side of the photo.

A small company in northern CA, Vintage Dashes, is doing repro dashes for 240Zs, 510s, and Porsche 911s. I have asked him about doing a Roadster dash and he said it's "on the list". Maybe if enough Roadster owners request it, he will move it up in the queue. His website is unfinished and rudimentary, but you can contact him at https://vintagedashes.com/pages/contact. He's also very active on Instagram and you can DM him there. 240 owners have a lot of praise for his dashes so far, and he sells the ones that didn't come out perfect at a discount.

Let's start a campaign to let him know how much we need him to make 68-70 Roadster dashes.
