The Datsun 510 is very close to our heart and today, the actual Brock Racing Enterprises (BRE) Datsun 510 #46 race car arrived at Z Car Garage. Despite being against all odds, our hero John Morton drove this 510 to SCCA Trans-Am series championship victories in 1971 and 1972, putting Nissan on the map and fueling every Datsun enthusiast’s passion for hot-rodding the humble economy car.


We are preparing the 510 for the 10/14-16 (next weekend!) Velocity Invitational where you can see it in person with John Morton and Pete Brock!

There was a lone roadster in the paddock, 1500! For rental!

Thanks Alvin for the BRE 510 revisit. What an iconic car. Such a simple car. This was the car that got me into cars. My first car(s) was a 1971 two door 510. Such a simple car to work on and to modify. At age 15, I purchased it and rebuilt and modified it in my parents driveway.

Fans were lucky to see legends John Morton and Pete Brock in person with the BRE 510 and Horst Qwech Alfa. Morton even led pace laps in the 510!
