Top boot for 67.5 car

Post by Habitat.pat »

Just started looking for a top boot for my 67.5. Dean listed it before his web rework but doesn’t list them now. An email to him asking if it will be coming back got a “No” answer.

An email to Robins said that they do not make it.

Looking at other top suppliers showed a Robins boot available for 68 & 69 cars.

The parts Fische shows a transition between 67.5 & 68.

Didn’t find the boot listed on any of our vendor’s sites.

I thought that the same boot was used for 65 - 70 cars (maybe even earlier).

So my question comes down to:
Is there a real difference between early & late?
If there is a difference, where can I get an early one?

Peace,
Pat

The difference was slight. The 65 1500 had a grommet instead of a snap at the inside top of the boot. The 65-67.5 we're canvas. The 68-70 were pinpoint vinyl.

So, the cut of the material is the same? Robins shows a Stayfast boot for the 68-69, so that should work with the 67.5. Thanks!

Yes, I am pretty sure that they will swap back and forth.
