A couple of lock questions

Post by steve_car »

I have a mishmash of locks that I have kept over the years.
Does the smaller diameter opening vs. the larger mean high vs. low locks?

If you swap the #4 piece, can you use a door lock in a trunk?
I do notice that #2 is shorter in the trunk lock and that #3 extends from end-to-end in the trunk lock, but they seem to be in the same position.

My 67.5 has the smaller openings like the bottom lock.

Thanks Pat, so the satin locks must be 67.5-70.
I just tried a door lock in the trunk and it doesn't go in the hole because of the long projection #3. I did not want to distort the hole to find out any more.
