Gas tank sender washers

Post by ppeters914 »

The gas tank sender is held in place with five 8-32x1/2-inch pan machine screws and washers. The washers are not metal and are probably fuel-resistant.

What are folks using, and where did you get them? Will regular nylon washers work?

Thanks.

I don’t think it matters much Pete. the case of the sender is grounded as is tank. So nylon, brass, steel would all be fine.

UPDATE: After doing a little more research, I went w/ neoprene washers (5/32-inch ID, 3/8-inch OD) from my local Ace Hardware.

Thanks for the update.

Good to know, I think I may be needing this exact thing this weekend.
