Is one of the vendors producing the dash pads, I haven’t been able to find any listed for a 67 Roadster.

Nope, Dean @Datsunparts.com stopped offering them 18 months back. Big $ for a refurb if you have something to refurb. You might try Ross at sportsimports.com in Canada for a used one.

Stan was making them but he has also stopped. Very bad news for the low windshield community.

I wonder if Dean or Stan might have the mold they used (and maybe the name of their supplier).

Dean offered to sell his mold for anyone willing to take on production.Apparently no other Vendor took him up on it. Really surprising he abandoned production as he could name his price. Stan said late last year that he was going to do another run, but it hasn't happened as of May when I talked to him. He already has a waiting list that I believe is longer than his planned production run.

This is a setback, refurb is hit or miss.
Any recommendations.

Are there any tutorials on a flat dash refurb? Or does anyone know a good shop?

I too am on the hunt to replace my 1967 cracked dash this winter it sounds like the venders have parked it for now and I am on the lookout for options if we get a few people together and beg ?

I'm pretty sure "Just Dashes" in So Cal ((818) 780-9005) will refurb a low windshield dash provided you have something to start with. They do incredible work and were featured on Jay Leno's Car show a while back. I think the video is linked somewhere on 311.s. They do the high windshield dashes more frequently and I believe that one runs in the $1800-2000 range.

I don't think that Just Dashes needs anything from you for a low windshield top.

Pretty sure that's pronounced "Ray Lin". Anyone who knows Ray, knows he's top notch. A great guy for sure.

I'll pronounce it any way he wants! This is great news for all the early SPL owners.

Updated information! Ray has told me his low dash pad production is on hold. Good news though, Dean has announced an $880 low dash pad production run due in February 2024. Go here to put you name on the waiting list:
