ISO Nissan Dream Garage Poster

I'm looking for a 30"x24" Datsun Dream garage poster. I used to have one, but it was damaged in my last move & I would like to find another one in good condition to frame. Another option would be to get a hi-Rez scan/photo of the original, I could display that on my Samsung The Frame TV if its a good 4K resolution. I searched the google & could only find a low-rez version out there... anyone have a spare?

I may have touch-up paint for that!

I have one that I haven't decided to keep or sell. Where would one go to get a high resolution scan done? FedEx Copy Center?

Not too many places would be able to "scan" something poster-size. And even if a photo lab could do it, I bet it would be expensive. If I can't find one to purchase, I would be happy with a 3840 x 2160 pixel digital photo of the poster, which could be easily done by someone with a nice full-frame DSLR. I've done similar shots of my daughters artwork when she was in art school. With a bit of patience and some pro photo gear, I got very nice results of some large artwork for her portfolio. Anyways, I knew it would be a long shot to find a higher resolution of the Dream Garage poster. So, unless someone's got some photo skills, I might be out of luck. Or if anyone happens to have a spare poster laying around...

Years ago I went into the local Nissan dealer and ask if he had a copy of the Dream Garage poster I could buy. He led me back to the employee lunchroom and pulled about a dozen of them off of the top of the Pepsi machine all rolled up together with a rubber band and just gave them to me. Unfortunatly, they have all been givien away over the years. I believe I have seen some for sale on E-bay.

I’ve been coveting one for years, long before this thread started. Did come across two a while back that were both in very bad condition (and at a ridiculous price) - A hard pass. Eventually I gave up looking, but apparently my wife (or Santa?) didn’t …

At last, an ‘Unobtainium’ Christmas addition for my garage :D

* Sorry Dave, keeping this one :)

I worked for a Jack Scoville Nissan back when these were released, and each dealer got a sleeve with 50 of them or so, I probably still have a few in my collection-- just need to find out where they are. (I have one framed in my office too).

lol … 50 of them would fund a good retirement Michael!

Sure are rare today. Especially ones in good condition.

Congratulations, Kai!

Some on this forum may not be familiar with the original ad which featured the poster shot:

WOW! I don't remember that commercial. Since it was so long it probably didn't play too much in that long form?

They originally ran it during the 1996 Super Bowl - Can only imagine what that two minutes cost them.

Kai, that’s an awesome find and a great gift you received! I’m still on the hunt for one. There was one I found online last January, but I missed the sale. I did however grab a half-way decent image of the posting and cleaned it up in my photo editor. Looks ok on my Samsung The Frame display in my home office.
