I’m going through items I’ve collected over the years with different cars in hopes of identifying some things to sell? (need cash for more projects) I have this engine (pics attached) and don’t know what it’s from. It’s Nissan but from what I’m not sure. Anybody know?

Best guess: R16 out of a ‘66 roadster or ‘67 Datsun 411

Can't make out the engine identifier on the pad before the serial number. It will be either G, R or H20. I suspect that it is an R engine with an H20 valve cover.

Looks like a 3 main R.

Definitely R Engine, looks like R-11038. Block looks like it was originally blue, but that early should have been black as it would be a from around 1966. Were 411 blocks blue, or black? Who knows, I'm pouring another one. Happy Father's day.

Going way OT here, but in 2010, Apple decided that when you capture a photo with the volume buttons facing skyward that this is actually upside down. There's no way to change this and no way for the sender to know the picture might be upside down on the receiver's end. If the sender knows this ahead of time, they can edit the photo before sending. I'm a very happy Apple stockholder (no Apple devices), but this type of crap is stupid and frustrating.
And now back on topic......

Unfortunately, no location in the OP's profile.
