The Resource For All Things Datsun Roadster S211/SPL212/310/311 Datsun Sports Roadster 1959-April 1970 circa 40,000 produced https://www.311s.org/phpBB3/
I have several coils in my spares box that I would like to confirm which are good backups and which can be tossed.
Is there a way to test them off the car with a meter to see if good? Assuming should pass a certain amount of Resistance or some other measure?
Thanks

Here is something I found. Easy enough, but I have no idea what the Roadster's coil spec should be.

If it magnatizes ...pulls a long screwdriver to it
It's a good sign , careful with a condenser about the shock of trying to get it to discharge .
this will not tell you if the insolator leaks really
Check the high voltage post for ohms too
I used to take customer s coils home that wanted them tested swap them on a CubCadet 128 ( it has a automotive coil )
