Can anyone advise on what’s available/where they are sourcing the clips that hold the Surround trim on face of dash.
Hoping there is a hardware store workable solution as this is hidden behind dash.
Every one of mine are missing.

I used clear tubing and ditched the clips that can break off the pins.

Clear tubing is the way to go, some use it for retaining emblems as well though it makes it easier for someone to steal your expensive D.A.T.S.U.N. Hood letters. What was originally used were speed nuts. Not sure what size.

If you have access to the backside
You can make some easy
with some sheet metal drill a smaller hole then tap a awl in it untill it's just smaller than the rod or a blind clip can fit it too

Thanks all, will either pick up some tubing or speed nuts, now seeing that Lowes/Ace has this item. Will put a caliper on the trim stud and see what size is appropriate. Guessing 8/32 or so.

I've seen too many broken pins to ever use speed nuts. The tubing works great, use a little soap water or something to get it on. I bought 3/32 vinyl off ebay. Listed as fish hook protector.

Sounds good, Curtis. When I put my dash back together I used my old retainers but should have thought about tubing which I used on the hood & body emblems.
Peace,
Pat
