I need to buy new tires for car SRL#237. Originally the cars were delivered with whitewall tires. I am leaning towards whitewalls pretty hard, as I want to keep it as stock as possible within reason. Yes, I would put on radials, not old Bias Ply tires from Coker. Whitewalls are becoming very difficult to locate. Price aside, what would you do? Stock 4.5" wheels and hubcaps.

If you have deep pockets, American Classics is the likely go-to mainstream supplier. I however, would be hard-pressed to spend more on 14” datsun tires than I do on 20” Ram 1500 tires. To that end, if I were looking for wide whitewall radials, I would likely go with this at about half the cost (dug this up from a few years back). Very interesting option with apparent good results:

Thanks Kai, but the Gangster whites were only on the early 3 seat cars. The later cars had more narrow white walls...

I believe they can custom size the whitewall stripe anywhere between 1/2” to 4” Sid.

Last year I put on Coker Travelstars in 175/75/14 which have a thin stripe. Less than $60 each from Summit Racing.

Some great options all, thanks. Prices have gone up - the Travelstars are now over $80, which is still not horrid I guess.

Yup, I run Remington. I don't do much aggressive driving so they work fine and look good. There was another thread that had another brand that was reasonable. I can't remember if I found them when I was looking.
