Greetings Roadster Fans!

I've finally registered after lurking for years and time to introduce myself (or better yet my baby).

I've had my roadster since 1986 (spent a couple years looking for one after driver a friend's dad's roadster).
Best friend and I drove it almost straight through from Seattle, WA to Austin, TX in less than 2 days back in 1988
The years were not kind to her as the Military moved me around a lot. But I drover her almost exclusively while stationed in Monterey, CA (90 to 93)
While in Texas from pretty much 93 to present she has gone through two complete engine/trans rebuilds. The second of which was a complete swap for a '69 2000 engine and 200sx 5 speed trans.
Today my kids call her "The Garage Ornament" and I've decided to start a complete rebuild which includes an SR20DE swap (which I hope bolts to the 200sx trans).
I hope to figure out how to post a photo in my Bio so I can do a before/after. And of course looking for lots of help with this rebuild.

"Long term listener, first time caller!" Welcome! We got our cars at almost the same time (1986), and after I dragged it home to Burien (south of Seattle) from WSU and rebuild it from the ground up, I took it with me to So Cal and grad school at Cal State Long Beach. 36 years later and many many great adventures we're still going stronger than ever. I've never lost my love for this car. We look forward to hearing about your long term journey and new resurrection!

Thanks for the intro...that was many years "lurking", great group here with plenty of people to help with your swap questions. Good luck with the build!

Jeuke,

Welcome to 311s! If you need any assistance with your SR20DE swap, let me know, we have been swapping these into roadsters for over 20-years now and have lots of conversion parts available via my website www.spriso.com

I have also written a lot of build threads on the SR conversion in the engine swap section of this site that you will probably find useful as well.

Welcome! 36 years with the same car is awesome, lots of miles and lots of memories I'm sure.

On a side note, do we have any members on the forum that have owned a Roadster since brand new from the dealer?
