Hood Bumper Install

Post by bossbob »

What's the best way to install the little rubber points into the body of the car for the hood bumpers.
Thanks,

Ordinary dish washing liquid is a good lube for installing rubbery bits

I sharpened a 1/4" wooden dowel in a pencil sharpener, used di-electric silicone grease as lube. Poked the lubed rubber tip in with the dowel while twisting it into place. The dowel wont scratch the paint when it slips off. Pat

I scored them around their base with a steak knife to form more of a rivet shape. Did the trick.
