New Owner ‘69 1600 British Columbia
Hello Everyone!
Just acquired this little beauty last week and pretty pumped to restore her the best I can. I’ve only began to scratch the surface on reading posts in this forum and can’t believe the wealth of knowledge you’ve all contributed…Thank-you in advance!
Plan is to get her running first and go from there to get street worthy, then pick away at getting everything else restored. Body has some rust and imperfections but don’t we all? Pretty well complete car and nice straight body/frame to work with! Thanks!
Randy

Welcome!
Looks like you have a really good start. You are right to get it on the road, then work on the body as you see fit.
Peace,
Pat

Welcome! As stated above get her running and drivable so that you can bond with her. Then worry about cosmetics.

Re: New Owner ‘69 1600 British Columbia
We love adding new folks to the family, welcome! Car looks great, fun place to start. Since the car is new to you, and having run those same wheels myself in the past, I want to caution you to make sure the lug nuts are the correct pitch. They are "shouldered" to fit the wheels, and a 280ZX used a close but different wheel stud/thread pitch than a Roadster, so they can seem to hand tighten but won't take a torque (like 70lbs). Â close friends wife's car was running the similar "iron cross" wheels that use the same lug and the pitch was wrong... she lost all four and then the wheel on the freeway right in front of me... the correct lugs are available but honestly I don't recall the particulars but someone here will. May be in the tech WIKI? If they torque to 70lbs then they are probably right, but please do check!
Enjoy the new ride, ask any questions you have, and have some fun!!

Great to know there are parts so close! I’ll be sure to be giving you a call Ross when I figure out what I need.
Thanks for the heads up on the lug nuts Greg. Still debating what I want to do for wheels BUT was planning on running these until I decide. Wheels will be coming off soon for brake inspection so I’ll verify then.
