So, I have a timing light on the old girl. But my distributor adjustment only gets me close to the marks on the pulley before I run out of adjustment. Can it be 180 out ? It's in the same position it was in, vac advance toward the fire wall. It only went all the way in one way. If you know what I mean. 😊 HELP !

Drove it around the block. Zero power.

Hope that got you what you needed for timing, otherwise, you may have to move your timing gear (In the base of the distributor tower) one tooth in order to add to your range of adjustment.

Don't forget that there is another adjustment at the backside of the distributor base.
What I do is set up the lower adjustment to give TDC spark with the upper adjustment pointer at "0".
Then you can make use of the engraved graduations on the upper plate to indicate actual timing BTDC.

High dome pistons ? 12 to 1 ?
be sure you have 98 octane in it ...right
Not available , 91-93 here ...so retard it a bit

Had two plug wires switched for a year. Got that fixed. Coil went out. Got that fixed. The little car has good power.
Been a rocky road getting here.
