Vinyl tips
Anybody have any tips on how to apply the vinyl over the rear inner fender curved surface. The kit I bought has pieces that are clearly made for that area but I can’t seem to get them to fit without wrinkles and folds

Re: Vinyl tips
I did mine last year & don’t remember having trouble like that but I’ll take a look later today.
Do you have the padding under it? I also installed a thin sound/heat mat under it but was under 1/8†so that shouldn’t have made much difference.
I’ll take a photo & post it.
Peace,
Pat

Re: Vinyl tips
I'm assuming you're gluing it correct?
Use a heat gun at low setting or hair dryer to warm the vinyl and smooth it out in place

Re: Vinyl tips
Pjackb is right. Heat gun pull and stretch to get flat and smooth. Just one note, vinyl stretches better in one direction so be careful and patient.
Hope this helps a little!!

Re: Vinyl tips
Agreed, be patient. Use a hairdyer and start in the center and smooth out the vinyl to the top and to each end as you go. The bottom looks good and the seam looks like it's in the right place. Good luck!
