Parking brake cables for a 1968 1600

Post by TobyMan »

Anyone have pictures of the three cable hand break cable setup on a high windshield roadster? Or even where I could get replacements? Or how to make them.? If I can't find replacements, I think I'll fabricate some using metal rod, if the pictures look like it's a straight enough shot. I have all the "hard partd" clips and pins. I have all the lengths too. Thanks to Erik on this forum.

Have you seen this Diagram?

In line with the rear axle are two solid rods on a swivel joint. One cable has a threaded rod for adjustment

Thanks Joe. Yes, I have that diagram, very helpful but I need to see it all laid out straight or flat in the car .

In the diagram, rotate the swivel (under item 36) clockwise until it is in line with item 15. The swivel is on the rear axle. Item 1 goes to the hand level (front of car).
