The start of my 70 roadster project

Finally got to start on tearing out the interior and getting a better look at what’s going on… and oh boy! It’s a doosey, not the worst but pretty close to it! When the car was sold to me I was told it was just under 11,000 miles- which I knew was too good to be true. It turned once and is actually 110,000 miles. Which I figured and expected so no worries

You’ll see pictures attached, the floor pans are in really rough shape , the car was last sticker’d (inspected) in 1998. The engine is locked up, currently have it sitting with some stuff to see if we can get it to break loose and see if we can save the engine before going the swap route ( strongly considering vg35hr , just have a lot of figuring out to do)
First is to get the floor pans whole- not sure how much floor pans are running for these guys but also have an idea with piecing together metal and going for a sweet look!

More to come just going to share the journey 🤘🏼

Figured while the engine is here might as well try and see if we can get it to fire up haha!

Looks like the head is off. Is it in the car?

Absolutely brilliant idea relocating the carbs to the package shelf. So much easier to make adjustments on the fly!

Instant gains  haha!

The guy I bought the car from tore it apart before I got it to see if he could get the engine to do anything, and wasn’t able due to time to get it back together

Made the process faster to get to see if we can get it to do anything!

There will always be a donor available so first order of business is the floor pans, I found the patch set on sports imports. Going to do some more research and see what I can find
