Evening All --
COS1969 here. I have just picked up a 1969 2000, and I suspect I have quite the project on my hands. I started digging around the net for parts suppliers / etc. and I was lucky enough to stumble into Paul Wells. What a wealth of information and certainly a great start to my restoration effort! Anyways, the car I purchased is going to need a full interior and a lot of work on the body, but the engine and trans are there and I am optimistic! I am looking to pick up a 2nd 1969 -- quite the basket case -- that I may be able to steal some parts from. We'll see.
Looking forward to working / chatting with you all. I will post pictures shortly!

Welcome, we're all here to help! Lots of good vendors and people with parts they have collected over the years. Nice area to own a Roadster, lots of mountains.

I’m in the middle of transitioning to Clark,Co. Hope to be full time mid summer. Glad to see there are quit a few roadsters in the area. Anyone up in the Steamboat area? Looking forward to the mountain roads.

There's nothing like a convertible in the Mountains... you're gonna love it.
Said it soooo many times.

Welcome.
Feel free to send a PM if you’d like to connect. I’m in between Denver and Boulder.

Looks like the first thing that I need is going to be a rear bumper that is nice enough to re-chrome.

And then some recommendations on seats -- redo current seats or use a replacement set / Mazda sdeat.

For me (a towering 5'6" 155lbs

) the stock seats have proven to be surprisingly comfortable, and better than my wife's BMW Z3. I have never sat in Miata seats in a Roadster so I can't comment, but some have enjoyed the built in speakers some of them have.

My Roadster came with 240Z seats, that were HORRIBLE. I replaced them with Miata seats which are wonderful, but sit an inch or two higher, so not optimum. I have a set of original 67.5 with headrests I intend to recover and install soon. But I will miss the firmness, support and GRIP the CLOTH Miata seats offer when I do.

I have seats but they are in pretty rough shape -- especially the headrests. So, I am not sure that I will be able to find someone willing to take on the task of redoing them!

I was hoping for more parts in the trunk, but unfortunately no. Jack and tool kit and spare tire and hold down but that was about it. Grrrr...

For some reason I thought that you had posted that you had found a source of the taillight lenses. This was early on in my searching, and I must have been confused -- no worries!
