Thanks for letting me join, I recently traded for a Roadster that's been neglected for a few years. I don't really have any brand loyalty, but this is my first Datsun and only my second Japanese car. I have a '05 and '09 smart, '63 Corvair Monza Spyder, and '15 Mercedes E63s for family duties.

Welcome. Looks like a good start. Keep us updated on your progress. There are a few roadster folks in your neck of the woods. Looks like you might need a passenger side door.

I posted some pics on Facebook, and have started looking for a replacement door and hardtop. While I do have the convertible framework, the header panel is rusty.
I have new clutch master/slave and brake cylinders on the way, as well as the gear reduction starter. While I'm waiting on those parts, I have the oil draining and will be flushing fluids to get the car safer.

Welcome to the site! I live in East Tacoma, closer to Puyallup, near the crossing of Canyon and 72nd. I'm available for assistance, tools, and general knowledge. Let me know if you have questions etc! Unfortunately my spare door is for a 67.

I think there are more than a few roadster people in the pacific northwest. Roadsters seem to be disproportionately represented up there.
If you find yourself in the Los Angeles area I have a good 69 door that I'm happy to part with.
These cars are super simple to work on, so have fun with the build.

That's awesome! I'm fairly familiar with that area, I used to take various routes home when I was working in Puyallup and living in Bremerton. I took 72nd a lot. I haven't driven my Corvair much lately, maybe I'll bring it by when you have some time.

Sounds like a Plan! I love Corvairs. Just don't swap ends on the way here (Ha! Just kidding! RALPH who?). I'm a little gimpy at the very moment... hurt my foot somehow so it's hard to walk, but I'll pm you my phone and address and we'll figure out a day and time, hopefully not gimpy then.

I was hoping that Ted would chime in. Get together with him and our DROPS community for a great Roadster resource in this area. Welcome to the insanity!

Nothing special, just an old guys garage and a bunch of plastic sheds. However there is a lot of useful stuff.
