After a searching for a while, I acquired a 67.5 1600 Roadster. The person I bought it off of had owned it since 1974 but he was struggling to work on it and drive it due to health issues. He told me it was time to have someone else enjoy it. Original color was silver but changed to the current green. It definitely needs some love both mechanical and body, but it's a decent starting point. Car wasn't running when it hit my driveway but with some clues from the previous owner I was able to get it fired up and it runs great. So the journey begins....

Welcome! Looks like a nice car. These cars are a lot of fun, both driving & maintaining. There are lots of knowledgeable folks & parts suppliers on this list so if you get stuck, just post something.

Peace,
Pat

Welcome to the family... you won't find a better bunch of folks than these here! Ask any questions you have as they come up, scan through the tech wiki for insights, things to check or watch for, and modifications that can improve your experience with the car. The car looks great... you could probably hide it in the woods there and it would blend right in!
As you get out there and start driving it more, expect to be approached by a wide variety of people who will want to either admire your ride or tell you of their adventures with a Roadster in the past. For some reason these cars make the owners approachable. Doesn't matter their country, culture, ethnicity or age, when people see one they just like it!
Have fun, and enjoy the ride as they say!

Quick Update. With the fuel system sorted, clutch master cylinder replaced, I had the confidence to take the roadster around the neighborhood a couple times. Wow. The roadster definitely has a high rating on the "fun factor" meter. Looking forward to some top down motoring this spring.
