Steering box fill nut size?

Post by Egz »

I'm assuming the plastic nut on the top of the steering box is the fill. Does anyone know what size it is on the inside? I tried to put a wrench on the outside, and it just wants to deform.

Disregard. A socket (23mm) does a better job than a wrench at keeping it from distorting. The inside might be a T55, but I think mine has been striped out.

75/90 gear oil is what it calls for, right?

Lol … Had the same issue a while back. I also used 75/90 gear oil.
