For added safety and weight reduction, remove the steering wheel and clamp on a pair of Vise Grip Pliers. FWIW

Since im in the Baja, I might get my upholsterer to reproduce that theme for my entire interior. Should save me some big bucks if I can find a couple of those lawn chairs. And maybe a matching pool floaty for the package shelf. Now I just have to figure out how to keep the Tiki torch headlights lit up at hiway speeds.

Hmm… get another of those and remove the trunk lid and…VIOLA everyone can have a three seater!

You guys, and gals, can choose not to believe this, and I wouldn't blame you, but I swear to you, FWIW,...My very first car, was a '62 Volvo 544, that started, and ran, but... with a cracked windshield (directly up and down in front of the driver's position),...and NO seats, or steering wheel. I managed to drive it home, something between 5 and 10 miles, sitting on an upside-down plastic bucket, with Vise-Grips clamped to the steering column.
I only paid $125 for it....what a bargain in 1970...
Thanks for reviving this incredible memory for me....
