This was a fun event. It was great to see the new Z in person and chat details with the Nissan rep. The car looks amazing in person, and is a suitable heir to the Z throne. 400hp twin turbo V6 isn't too shabby, either. Lots of classic Datsuns there today to share the spotlight.

There was a particular old Datsun that caught my eye: a CPF02. Don't see these every day.

What an event! The 2023 Nissan Z showing at Z Car Garage was a huge success. It was great to see so many people visit the shop, both old friends and new enthusiasts.

We had some alone time with the Z from 1-6pm and a private viewing from 6-9pm on 10/22 for clients and family. Shop was opened to the public 10/23 from 10am to 4pm with a steady flow of 400+ people.

Inside the shop, sharing the spotlight were vintage Datsuns and late model NIssans. We even had an "IMSA GTU Corner"

The parking lot was filled with cool cars, even the street parking was impressive. I spotted this 710 Violet:

I could not resist taking some photos next to the new Z :D

They really pulled it off... also reaffirming to see young and old still interested in sportscars.

Nissan gave us the new Z for 5 days. We enjoyed driving the Z on our favorite Bay Area backroads and sharing the experience with our clients. First impressions were unanimous: the new Z is fantastic right out of the box.

Dyno dyno testing the 2023 Nissan Z at Z Car Garage. This is the Performance model in Two-Tone Ikazuchi Yellow TriCoat / Super Black and 9-speed automatic. In stock form with 91 octane it made 345hp/362tq at the wheels. Enjoy this video with dyno runs, road testing, launch control and exhaust sound. Note that the automatic model comes with a different exhaust system than the manual model. Volume up!

Saw the car on Internet. Meh. Saw the car in person. Meh. It's unfinished. It lacks features. Its special trait is that it's different, and not in a good way. People want to love it and that's where it ends. Sorry. It's true.
