Warner 4spd counter shaft issue

My Transmission guy says I need a counter shaft and needle bearings for my Warner tranny. This is not the "half moon" version. Looks like the parts are no longer available. I have spare servo style pieces/parts.

Is it possible to use the housing from a servo style, replace with new half moon shaft+bearings and use the preferred Warner guts?

Any other solutions or suggestions appreciated.

TIA,
Pat

There are companies that can build the shaft back up & grind them. If you can find needles that are slightly oversized they should be able to machine the shaft to work with them. If the shaft needs to be machined they would need to machine a bushing to fit.

Peace,
Pat

Worth a try, but two other Nissan on line parts Dealers are showing discontinued. It's possible i guess for some NOS to be laying around, but 38 cents?

Problem solved.......Have 4ea. spare 4spds......Have aquired a few parts cars and pieces/parts over my decades of being a Roadster nut. I thought all of mine spares were the servo type, but in the dark recess of my hoarde was a Warner. Amazed when I pulled the counter shaft and found in to as near perfect as a used one could be. The Roadster gods were looking over me! Yeah
