Rear axle end play

Post by Habitat.pat »

I purchased new wheel bearings from one of our vendors & had them installed on my 67.5 axles & reinstalled the axles. I measured for shim pack thickness & didn’t need any. After installing the axles I checked end play & found 0.015” play on one side & 0.050” on the other. 0.050 seems to be way too much. Any thoughts/ideas?

Other than that the car is coming along well. Interior is almost complete, which just leaves the engine compartment, windshield & wheels. Block & crank are due in a week or two.

Peace,
Pat
