Are these custom or did they come on some JDM roadsters?

Custom, and somewhat labor intensive.

I believe he cut the center out, and took the ends off of a 2nd bumper and grafted them to the inside of each "bumperett"
Gordon's site goes over it a bit.

I stared at the photos of his car for hours when I first got my roadster.

that makes me wanna go outside cut my bumpers and break out the welder and saws all! Or possibly try to get someone take me to get some plugs so i can get the car running

My understanding is he sectioned two complete bumpers to get that result. I also have stared at that picture for 20 years while between Roadsters.
