Common engine parts?

Does anyone know of a list of what parts are common between the R16 and U20 engines?

I don't know of one, but pretty short list. Oil pan gasket, rear main seals, lower timing chain. Technically oil pumps can be swapped, but it's a downgrade to put an R16 pump into a U20. Others can add to the list.

Distributor? Are the R16 cam and U20 jackshaft bearings the same? That's all else I can think of...

Temp sending unit is common to all 1600s and 2000s. Oil filter base interchanges. Some minor tidbits.

Definitely yes on the distributor.
