As per dean, I'd like to know main and rod bearing options. My crank is standard. Thx Pat

Sounds like there is a whole lot of confusion about... Can you clarify Pat? Perhaps we can help.

What engine/year? Standard bearings for early 3 main 1600s are hard/impossible to find. If someone know of any I am very interested.

I'll help answer for Pat cause I know he's busy... he has a standard crank but has found that the main bearing thrust is made thicker on replacement bearings and has not been able to locate bearings that are not made oversize for the thrust even on standard bearings (this is what I understood when we talked). Its unclear if the bearings will be within spec of if they would need to be modified or machined to get the thrust correct (not too tight). Anyone have input or suggestions? (Hope I got this right Pat). Oh, U20 engine.

Again, sounds like rampant confusion. On standard bearings there should not be an oversized thrust surface. (that would kinda make it impossible to use a brand new standard crank huh?) It's either defective bearings(very unlikely) or human error (much more likely).

Yup, that's what I thought, so maybe I misunderstood what the perceived issue is...
