Every now and again, there is discussion of building a cold air intake. I don't have interest in one, but saw this and thought I would share:

I read somewhere that a cool air supply sealed from engine bay heat is easy to achieve and beneficial to the intake.
However, it is also necessary to have the duct work open at the rear so that the ram air doesn't cause problems.
So a simple sheet metal air box sealed from the engine bay with a cool air intake and open rear should suffice.
Just a thought

Next to the headers , that metal can't be very cold
Factory intake tubes use rubber and phenelic plastic ( foamed in the center) that reduce the heat to the airflow inside
Also have a restriction in the 1st part to keep some vacuum be tween the T plate and carb jet
