This comes up every once in a while and is often misquoted.
The stock 5.60-14 tire for the roadster is actually 24.6" diameter with a 4" tread width.

Modern Approximate Diameters (for a somewhat accurate speedometer):
175/75/14 24.33"
185/70/14 24.2"
195/65/14 23.98"
195/70/14 24.75
185/65/15 24.47"
195/60/15 24.21"
205/60/15 24.69"
185/55/16 24.01"
195/55/16 24.44"
205/50/16 24.07"
205/55/16 24.88"

These sizes may not all be available, the 185/65/15 is getting hard to find in a performance version, and there may be some other sizes that come close.
The 185/60/14 used to be a popular option....it is only 22.74" diameter, nearly 2" smaller than stock.

Stock rims/period-correct rims deserve a period-correct tire, with a track-width and sidewall engineered for our cars.

Why a reproduction of an Italian radial? Go OG with the Coker 1" whitewall:

Haha, I have both! The Coker whitewalls are useless for anything other than car shows. The Pirelli’s are a great radial that was the #1 performance tire for years and years. Michelin also makes a period reproduction that fits our cars.
