Please let us know what you find for tire options in 14".
I'm running some cheap tires I found on Ebay. I think they're called Republics. They had a decent size selection but the sidewalls are super soft; ok for the potholed streets around here but a bit sloppy in tight corners.

Assuming you can still get them, I run Falken Azenis on my 14" EMPIs. They are sticky to the point that they exposed my very tired idler box; a rebuilt of which is ordered.

They are slim picking as you know. I'll probably go with the Azenis RT615K. I wanted 195/65r14 but can't find any I like, so I'll end up with 195/60r14.

Falken has a newer version of the 615K, the 660. Supposedly a little better. Grassroots Motorsport compared the two and the 660’s did a little better. I like the tread design better anyway. I have 615’s on my Empi’s as well and am very pleased with them. If I stay with 14’s I’ll probably get the 660’s next.

I believe that the Azenis that I used to have were 195 60 14's. Those were on the 5.5" rims that I had. I still have those on the front, but the rears are now 7" so I need at least 205's. I think the tires I am running now are 195 60 14 in the front and 205 55 14 in the rear. These have about the same diameter, which is why I bought the cheapo Republics. I wasn't able to find Azenis with 205 55 14. They were very sticky tires, but once they've heated up a couple times, they're cooked and they glaze over. Good for drifting I guess.
