New tires

Post by redroadster68 »

Replaced my old Dunlop direzzas . Great tires but all good things must come to an end. So many advancements in tread design and compounds over the past few years. Had 195/50/15 before. Now have 195/55/15. Fills up the wheel wells just that little bit more . Looks better for sure.
I did lots of research when choosing my new grippers...and decided on BF Goodrich g- force sport comp 2 . Very good price. Had the correct size. Always rated at or near the top for Ultra High Performance tires. Arrived this morning, installed this afternoon. Took out for an initial short test run. Tons of grip, very good ride. Tight turn in . So far ...so great!! Many miles of adventure awaits

That's perfect... the additional size is a winner all around.

Since I just put them on I will be playing around with the psi. Right now all corners are 38. Ok so far. Pretty neutral. Tad understeer. Every cars different, every roadster is different. Comp frOnt springs, 22 mm sway bar, kyb shocks( silver not black ) rear spring slightly stiffer than stock .

Great pictures. I'll be buying wheels & tires this summer so I appreciate the photos. Can you take a photo of the from the front of the car with the wheel straight straight? Am curious to see how it aligns with the fender flare straight. That is a lot more meat than I have today. It looks great.

Nice choice. How's their cornering response?

Hey gbraydon.
G-force comp 2 are performing great. Very happy with them. Fantastic cornering. Grip is outstanding and good ride . Under very aggressive cornering. Outstanding .
My experience mirrors what I read in reviews. Even wet performance is suppose to be good but since I never rain drive, wasn’t a concern. As I mentioned they are very competitive in head to head testing with others in the class...ultra high performance ( summer) Tire’s.
Happy happy happy
In Canada it was very hard to find four . I guess many manufacturers are behind due to Covid
