Not good for Roadster enthusiasts. Parts selling for these high prices will kill what makes Datsun ownership so appealing. I don’t want to see the ownership costs of my roadster approach my Porsche. I also don’t want to see the owners start to resemble some of the Porsche owners.
The scary part of that sale is that there were 3 bidders over a thousand dollars!

My friend who races told me that their tech inspections force him to replace seat belts every other year.

Those NOS belts are only out of date by 50+ years... and no shoulder belts!

A silly price for belts that have outdated material and you can send your belts in and get them restored for less with better belt material. Besides, in a stock car with only lap belts and no roll bar safety is a moot point. Belts are for looks. I trust no one on the road with me and drive as such.

The price is high, but how many are left? The silk tags are close to perfect. I don't think that anyone in the US is reproducing those.

Yes, they can. They were reproduced for a very limited run in Japan several years ago, but as I stated, no one in the US is reproducing those.
