Hello from San Marcos CA

Post by kogi »

Hello,
Its been awhile since I've been here... My name is Ken, and a former Datsunholic. I own 1966 spl311 that has been sitting dormant in my garage since 2004. Only time that it saw full daylight was when it was trailered to our new home. I'm hopeful that I can get it back on the road but I hope that experts on this site will help me along the way.

Thank you in advance

Ken! It's so good to see you back here.

I will always remember your show stopper. What do you need to get her back on the road?

hello alvin,
hope all is well on your end... those pics are amazing - thank you...
the fairlady has been sitting too long... so the list to get it back on the road looks lot like my "honey do" list... but i just gotta get it done.
hope i'll get to "enjoy the ride" sooner than later =]

Looks like a fun afternoon with some Roadster family members would have you back in the seat quickly, even if she's been sleeping for a while.

Here, let me help you... PIZZA PARTY IN SAN MARCOS!

There, that ought to do it... stand back, you can thank me later

Your srl311 (before the unfortunate event) was one of my inspiration. Did you get a replacement or restore? care to share a pic?

Ha! Happy to help! Are you referring to to my need for a replacement block, or the most recent disassembly for a valve issue? Or maybe it was Gordon's 67 2000 that provided inspiration? The most recent event is the conversion to EFI, after I got a new block from Gordon... waiting on parts to assemble the engine... soon!

Gordon's 67 2000 was the first Roadster I'd seen up close other than my pile of rust, and was an inspiration for me as well. He did get hit but it's fixed and waiting on him to finish the motor... someday...

Your car is beautiful BTW. If I were close I wouldn't even need the promise of pizza...

Hey someone near me! The only other one I have seen in North County is a ratrod going down Oceanside Boulevard once in a while, and a red one in a garage one time.

When I have better transportation I'll definitely swing out to help out once in a while!
