Where do you all source your vinyl for the interior and console? I’ve seen some references to doeskin from Joann Fabrics, but haven’t been able to find it on their site.

Just Google Doeskin. You will get plenty of hits. If you prefer to save the Deer population you can also search for vinyl Doeskin. Marine vinyl will work as well. A few links

Walmart had some hd ,perferated( cooler) leather looking vinyl
Brown gray, and black
Most of the vinyl at fabric stores won't hold up long term
Because it's the cheap grades I found

Vinyl is really one of these products that you get what you pay for
If you want a doeskin/faux leather look anything under $15/yd is either pretty crappy quality or not automotive grade
the good thing is you dont need a lot , to do all the glued on an vinyl panels you will need about 2 yds with lots of leftover and 3 yds if you're doing the rear shelf also. at ~25$/yd for high quality its only 75$
Search for Nauga Vinyl fabric (Very good) Spalding Vinyl fabric (good) Whisper Vinyl fabric (Excellent)
if you want to splurge and do your seats you can look at Ultraleather at 140$/yd you need 5 yd for 2 seats

Thanks all for the info! I’m not so skilled as to try the seats... Is the 3M adhesive still the preferred?

3M-Super 77 is the best, but most all 3M variations will do.
Two things I have done in the past.
I bought a seat from Jim in Pacifica just for the seat cover. (hope I got the name right, he now lives in Baja Mexico)
When it finally split I bought some vinyl from Joann’s and had an upholsterer sew in an insert. When he saw/felt my material, he said, “this is good stuffâ€, I was surprised.
When I did center console, I went to Goodwill and bought a black pair of women’s leather pants.
Enough to cover 2 consoles if needed, just match the seam location so that they are symmetrical.
In 6th grade grammar class, when they talked about a “misplaced modifierâ€, they were talking about me.

I made up some interior panels recently and used this as a source for the vinyl:
- Doe skin vinyl from Albright's Supply.

Very happy with the product.

The vinyl used in the kits from Distinctive Industries that the vendors sell has Authentic Enduratex on the back.

Has anyone used any of the above vinyl for the shift boot and e-brake cover? Anyone have a PDF of the pattern?

I have a complete interior kit from DatsunParts.
There are three black fiber board pieces and I do not know where they go. See picture though my pieces are slightly different for a '69 2000.
I have the rear wheel wells, seat, trunk panel and panels over the wheel wells finished. Thank you for any help!

They go high up on the firewall. A bit of a sound barrier. But see all those holes? Your hoses and wires feed through them from the cockpit to the engine compartment. That is a bit of a pain in the rear to make all those disconnections to feed your lines through if you have already done your dash / gauges / heater work..

Thank you. I see them now and we just installed the flat dash yesterday. My existing panels are in reasonable shape so we will use them on a different Datsun.
