Where are people purchasing their KFP brake pads from?

KFP, but they doubled their prices in 2018, making no changes to the pads. Now they are over $200 a set for the front.

True that. What are the preferred front pad brands for stock calipers. I'll do occasional mountain grade braking and need something to help with brake fade.

You could try a set of Porterfields They may have changed their compounds after 20 years. I had my Alfa brake shoes (giant 4 wheel drum brakes) redone in their R4-1 vintage racing compound. I have a set of EBC Yellow pads on the front of the roadster right now. I haven't had a chance to go get them crazy hot, but that could happen in the not so distant future. (Currently in the middle of a minor engine refresh.) They might be fine, they might not be. I'd guess they would be fine on the street, not sure about how they will do on the track.

Porterfield R4-S front pads and rear shoes have worked well for me, although the brake dust on the front wheel castings is plentiful and requires a periodic power wash.

Ditto, bought some EBC Yellow Stuff Pads on a one day Amazon sale last fall = $46. Currently $90. The brand came highly recommended so I snagged them for my future project. They are Jaguar spec P/N DP4120R (made in the UK) and are slightly oversized vs. OEM Nissan pads.
