Okay, here's an update. I have the master cylinder replaced for the brakes, have the caliper cyinders off and they are toast. I have the new caliper cylinders, but the brake pads are toast as well and I don't have those with me. Any suggestions on getting them?

Also, let the car idle for 10-15 minutes. The oil pressure came up and we could give the engine gas without choking out the engine. The temp. guage works but the thermostat did not. Turned the engine off and changed the thermostat.

I bought pads from advance auto and they seemed to be a bit wide.... but the calipers might be from a different year then the pads...
try rallye and www.datsunparts.com

Also see the forum under" General Discussions" the discussion "getting parts this week" for some info and numbers on brakes.
Also check the Parts Interchange List here on the 311 site for some good info.
And the various vendors.
All good sources to" keep them on the road"

If you need pads right now, see if there is a british car shop around. There are pads for MGAs and Jaguars that are the same fitment as the Roadster.

Napa pads on their way. Will be here Weds.

Using master flex hoses.
